Privacy Policy

Brut is built around one idea: your photos are yours. The app splits your images into seamless grids entirely on your device. It works fully offline, has no accounts, and runs no servers. We don't collect, store, or transmit your personal data — there's simply nothing for us to hold.

What happens to your data

Your photos and videos. When you add media, iOS asks permission to access your Photo Library. That access is used only to let you pick and edit photos and videos inside the app. All splitting, resizing, and exporting happens locally on your iPhone, and the result is saved back to your Photo Library. Your media is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never stored on any server.

Purchases (Brut PRO). Brut PRO is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks video clips and full-resolution video export. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details — Apple only tells the app whether your subscription is active. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

That's it. No account, no login. No analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking SDKs. No data on our servers, because there are none. The app doesn't phone home.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your message and your email address so we can reply. We use it only for that and keep it no longer than necessary.

Children

Brut isn't directed at children under 16, and since it collects no personal data, there's nothing to gather from anyone. If you have a concern, contact us.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there's normally nothing to access, correct, or delete. Under the GDPR you still have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to complain to a data protection authority. In the Czech Republic that's the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ), uoou.gov.cz.

If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the date above.
